Do you do rush orders and if so, what is your
charge?
Yes, we do. Our rush fee is based on the size and timing of
the order. $25 minimum may be waived during off-season.
What's my minimum order?
Our minimum order is 12 pieces. Orders of 24 pieces or more
are eligible for a volume discount, and first-time orders of
144 or more are eligible for free shipping within the continental
US!
Can I supply my own shirts to be embroidered?
Yes, but your order will reflect one-piece pricing. We cannot
however work with some garments due to their construction or
material. We will be happy to provide specifics for any items
about which you may have questions. Call or email us for details.
Will you do a 1-piece order?
Yes, within certain parameters.
What is screen-printing?
Screen-printing is a process where a design, drawing, or other
format is converted to a film, and the film is transferred
to a screen. The number of screens for any design is based
on the number of colors of the design. Inks are then transferred
through the screen to the garment in a proper order to achieve
the desired result. The process involves exact pressures,
specialized inks, and heat curing to result in a long- lasting
design.
What is a transfer?
Like screen-printing special inks are placed on a thin piece
of imprinting paper in the order and depth needed for the
result. These are then applied on the garment with a combination
of heat and pressure, which drives the inks into the garment.
Can I apply a screen print or transfer to any garment
or item?
Not always. Some items such as fleece will not work under
any circumstances, consider embroidery on it instead.. Items
such as tote bags will readily accept screen print or transfer
providing the surface is reasonably smooth. In the case of
high synthetic content items (nylon, rayon, blends etc.) some
items can use the transfer process while others must be directly
screen-printed.
What is Digitizing?
Digitizing is a combination of artistic arrangement and computer
process that takes a design, photo, drawing etc. and converts
it to an embroidery design. That design is then programmed
into our computerized machines, to produce the desired result,
an age-old process of needle and thread called embroidery.
If my company logo has been embroidered before, can I provide
a copy for you to use and avoid the cost of digitizing?
Most likely, yes. If your design has been embroidered elsewhere,
a copy should be available. This is easily accomplished through
transfer of a disk, or a simple e-mail. We can offer information
as to how you can proceed.
Is there a less expensive way than having a design digitized?
Yes. We offer some 15,000 stock designs that we can customize
by, add lettering to, or change colors to achieve your unique
logo.
Does the embroidered garment require special care?
No. Strong bleach, hot water wash, and very hot dryers should
be avoided. We also recommend turning the garment wrong side
out to avoid possible damage from other garments, buttons,
hooks, zippers, etc.
What should I look for in viewing my design?
Many people make the mistake of analyzing the result of a
design in embroidery from a perspective of looking at a book
or magazine. Embroidery by its nature will have imperfections
that are the result of needle, thread and fabric meeting together
in a design. Close inspection will always reveal the imperfections
that are simply the "nature of embroidery". In real
world application, no one will ever be that close to the design.
The finished result should be viewed at the same distance
as you would stand when speaking with a co-worker or complete
stranger only then can your determine the true impact of your
design executed in embroidery.
Does It Cost More To Use Five Colors Instead Of Three?
No. Unlike screen-printing, the number of colors has no bearing
on the cost. Screen-printing requires burning a screen for
each color, and each screen adds a step to the process. With
embroidery, the cost is determined by stitch count, which
relates to the time required to sew the pattern. Our embroidery
machine can use up to fifteen colors on each pattern without
an added charge. Metallic thread is extra.
How Much Will It Cost To Have Embroidery Done?
The four pieces of information we need in order to give you
a quote are: 1) How many stitches are in the pattern (we can
estimate this when we see your logo or design), 2) How many
pieces will be embroidered, 3) What will the pattern be embroidered
on, and 4) How many locations will the garment have embroidery
added (see below)?
Can You Put My Name On The Sleeve, Or My Girlfriend's
